• American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities (AAAASF)
  Voluntary program of inspection and accreditation of surgery facilities to ensure excellence and quality care to patients.

• American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS)
  Check for certification in plastic surgery and other medical specialties at this site. Physicians certified by an ABMS Member Board have successfully completed an approved training program and an evaluation process assessing their ability to provide quality patient care in the specialty.

• American Board of Plastic Surgery
  Promotes safe, ethical, efficacious plastic surgery to the public by maintaining high standards for the education, examination and certification of plastic surgeons as specialists.

• The American Medical Association
  Search for a plastic surgeon (or other physician) by name or medical specialty.

• American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS)
  Search for board-certified plastic surgeons in the U.S. using the Plastic Surgeon Referral Service.

• American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS)
  Leading organization of plastic surgeons certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, who specialize in cosmetic surgery of the face and body.

• American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery
  Scientific organization dedicated to promoting research and education on medical laser applications.

• Connecticut State Medical Society
  Medical association for physicians presents industry news, doctor placement services and managed care initiatives.

• Lipoplasty Society of North America
  Medical association of over 1,000 board-certified plastic surgeons in the United States, Canada and abroad. Members are certified in plastic surgery and active in ASPS.  The Lipoplasty Society does not currently maintain a web site. Phone: (800) 848-1991, ext. 1126.
